Ask us to remove your information
SWFL Leads builds weekly lists of new and changing Southwest Florida businesses from public records such as permits, business tax receipts, state licenses and corporate filings. If your name, phone number, email address or address appears in one of our lists, you can ask us to take it out.
What you can ask for
- Remove my personal details. We remove your name, phone number, email address and mailing address from our files and from every list we build after your request.
- Remove an address. We remove the whole record for an address you tell us, so the address does not appear in our lists.
- Correct a mistake. If a detail about you or your business is wrong, tell us and we will fix it or take it out.

Please include:
- your name;
- the business name and address as they appear in the list or in the public record;
- which of the options above you want; and
- an email address or phone number where we can reach you.
Protected address? If you or someone at your address is covered by a Florida public-records exemption or an address-confidentiality program, say so in your message. We will treat it as a priority.
What happens next
- We reply within 3 business days. We may ask you to confirm a detail, or to write from an email address connected to the business, so that no one can remove another person's record.
- Within 10 business days after we confirm your request, we remove the information from our files and from the lists we build from then on.
- If a subscriber already received a list with your information, we notify subscribers and our Terms require them to delete it and stop using it.
- We keep a minimal record of your request (the name, address, email or phone number to exclude, and the date) so removed information does not come back. We use it only for that.
What we cannot do
- Change the public record. Our lists are built from records kept by cities, counties and state agencies. Removing you from our lists does not remove you from the permit, license, tax, property or corporate record itself. To change those, contact the agency that keeps the record.
- Reach into other companies' files. We can remove information from our own files and ask our subscribers to delete it. We cannot access other websites or data sellers that may also list public records.
- Stop a subscriber who ignores the rules. If a business contacted you using one of our lists and you want it to stop, tell the business, and also tell us who it was so we can pass the request on.
